Letter of Agreement
Dear Parents,
As a potty-training consultant, I am dedicated to helping families successfully potty-train their child. I look forward to supporting you through this process. This letter is our agreement regarding my services.
We agree to the following:
In order to maintain a friendly yet professional relationship it is important to set clear boundaries. My business hours vary. Calls need to be schedule in advance. Phone calls, text and emails will receive a reply within 24 hours, if not sooner. There will be times when I cannot answer your question right away. I believe in gradual and patient potty-training, so nothing should ever be that urgent. If there is ever an urgent matter you are never to call me, you are to call your baby’s pediatrician or 911.
You agree to email your questions and contact me within the start and end time of our contract. If I do not hear from you regularly, I will assume all is well and you are happy with your progress.
Your Role: Your participation during this process is important for our plan to be effective.
You agree to:
- Keep and share daily or weekly logs of your baby’s progress, so we can adjust the plan if needed.
- Consistently carry out steps outlined in the plan. Any suggestions I make must be carried out for the personalized potty-training plan to work.
- Communicate openly with me on any questions or concerns about potty-training, including any special needs, health issues, medical conditions, or emotional situations.
- Use all materials or manuals provided by EL Potty for your own personal use and not to share these materials with others.
Cancellation: I do not offer full or partial refunds in the event you choose to cancel your consultation or package without rescheduling. I am happy to hold a credit for future use. If you decide to reschedule an initial or follow up appointment, I ask that you notify me at least one business day in advance so I may offer your appointment to another family.
Refunds/Guarantees: You understand and acknowledge that I do not offer a guarantee or refunds for any reason. I am fully competent in the work I do, but I cannot be aware of any inconsistent implementation of the potty training plan I provide to you, factors that may impact results such as illness, travel, developmental milestones, or life transitions. Although I do not provide refunds, I will gladly reschedule or reserve the purchased potty-training support until you need to use.
Limitation on Liability: You understand that EL Potty is not a medical facility and I, Ana Gauthier, am not a doctor. I will not advise you on medical conditions or make diagnoses. You should not call me or seek my advice for any emergency or medical concerns. For medical concerns you are to speak to your child’s doctor and for a medical emergency, you are to call 911. If you have any reason to believe that your child’s potty difficulties may be related to a medical condition or that your child has health concerns that may be adversely affecting potty-training, it is your responsibility to consult with your child’s health care professionals. You understand that you assume primary responsibility for the health of your child and, to the extent permitted by law, you will not hold EL Potty or myself responsible by way of a claim or lawsuit for any injury, disability, death or other harm that results directly or indirectly from any services provided to you.
